Thankful and Grateful

Wednesday, November 21st, 2018

Every year for Thanksgiving, Trinity Transportation gives each employee a turkey for their holiday table, and we were excited to do it again this year! We handed out turkeys to our 1,000+ employees, helping to spread some holiday cheer. The marketing team, Chief Financial Officer Matt White, and Chief Operating Officer Dave Holls traveled to Trinity’s terminals to hand deliver turkeys to employees, which was the perfect way to start our Thanksgiving break.

Since Thanksgiving is about recognizing what we’re grateful for, we asked employees to write down what they are thankful for, and we received some wonderful answers!

At Trinity, we’re thankful for our clients and our employees, and wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving!

As a premier transportation company, we have a complete fleet ready to help you with your service needs. Whether your group is large or small and your trip local or cross-country, we have the perfect vehicle for you!

If you’re just starting out and haven’t a clue what vehicles are in our fleet, hop on over to our fleet page, where you will get an introduction to what we offer and virtual tours of our vehicles. Once you’ve done that, you can get to know our fleet divisions a little better here.

Long distance trips are usually done in our motor coaches, which offer a luxury ride complete with comfortable seats, a restroom, power outlets, a DVD player, Wi-Fi, and more. They also have overhead and underneath storage for items such as luggage, band instruments, and athletic equipment. Our motor coaches seat up to 56 passengers, have panoramic windows, and some are handicap accessible.

If you’re not traveling far or overnight, our school bus may be a viable option for you. Local field trips and athletic trips are usually done in our school buses, which seat up to 48 passengers. They are equipped with heat for chillier days and several are handicap accessible.

If you need a ride to an appointment or the store, our sedans are the vehicle for you. Our sedans travel locally and seat from 4 to 10 passengers. We have Prius cars, minivans, and full-size vans that can take you where you need to go! Our sedan fleet also consists of handicap accessible vehicles to better suit your needs.

Flying and need transportation to the airport? We’ve got you covered! Our shuttles can transport small or large groups to and from the airport. From vans and transits to mini coaches and motor coaches, our fleet is equipped to service your group. All of them have storage space for luggage and comfortable seating to ensure your ride is as pleasant as possible.

Vehicle Virtual Tours

Thursday, September 27th, 2018

There are a lot of factors that go into choosing the vehicle that’s right for you. Some of the things to take into consideration are all of the vehicle’s features, what the vehicle is best for, how many it seats, and what the interior and exterior look like.

To help with the selection process, we have added a new update to our website. Along with the fantastic exterior and interior photos of our fleet, we have added virtual tours to help you get a better feel of our vehicles. On the individual vehicle pages, you will find the description of the vehicle, the capacity and features, interior and exterior photos, recommended services, and virtual tours (on most vehicle pages).

To navigate the virtual tours, simply click and drag your mouse in the direction you want the photo to move! You’ll be able to view the vehicle from front to back, side to side, and top to bottom. We hope this new feature will give you a better look into our vehicles and ultimately help you pick the right one for you!

Trinity Transportation Hosts Annual Back to School Meeting

Tuesday, August 21st, 2018

Every year, Trinity Transportation prepares for the new school year by hosting our annual Back to School Meeting for school bus division employees. During the meeting, company protocol, procedures, and safety measures are reviewed to ensure our employees put their best foot forward for the upcoming school year.

“As an organization, we understand the importance of thorough planning and preparation. That is why each year, before the start of school, we bring together all of our school bus division employees for a back to school startup meeting to review policy changes and receive continuing education training”, Chief Operating Officer Dave Holls stated. “At this year’s meeting, crisis de-escalation and student management on the bus were two highlighted training events everyone participated in.”

Our meeting this year had over 500 attendees, including two special guests from our parent company, National Express: Vice President of Safety Kevin Kilner and Head of Transit Maintenance William Diamond. The day started with an introduction from Dave Holls, who discussed safety initiatives including our ongoing Target Zero campaign. He also discussed the performance of our terminals; what employees should do before, during, and after their routes; and reiterated the Driving out Harm program. Kevin Kilner delivered an important safety message, touching on how imperative it is that we follow all of the guidelines and procedures put in place in order to keep our communities safe.

After lunch, Area General Manager Kevin Dunbar gave training on blood borne pathogens, which prepared employees for cases where bodily fluids are involved. The training took employees through the process of what to do in a medical emergency and how to handle bodily fluids with precaution. Next up was DriveCam coaching, conducted by Dave Holls, and then customer service training from Sales Director Pete Rudnik. The meeting ended with educational videos on preventative techniques for crisis intervention and a discussion about student management.

During the meeting, there were periodic breaks for some fun! Upon arrival, employees were given raffle tickets for a chance to spin the prize wheel and win prizes. A total of 13 prizes were given away, including a Keurig set, Amazon Fire Cube, tablets, a record player, and a five-piece luggage set.

Conventions are a fun and terrific way to learn more about your industry and meet other professionals in your field. They provide the information you need to build on your experience and grow in your profession. As a distinguished transportation company, we’re prepared to make your convention transportation the best it can be!

If you have yet to book transportation for your convention, we take you through the process step-by-step in this article. Once you’ve gone through each step and secured your transportation, your vehicle will be booked and you will be set for the day of your convention! Our reservations specialists usually reach out about a week before the date of your convention to ensure the details and information on file are correct, and to make any needed changes. On the day of your convention, the driver(s) will arrive at the specified pick-up location at the time discussed (usually 5-15 minutes early) with the vehicle(s) you selected. Upon meeting your driver(s), we recommend that you exchange phone numbers so communication can occur throughout your time together. Depending on the length of your convention and the services requested, your vehicle(s) will typically stay at the venue the entire time.

After the services are complete, you are all set! Your reservations specialist may reach out to you a day or two after your convention to ask for feedback on our services. As always, we appreciate having valuable customers like you and can’t wait to assist you with your transportation needs!
