Trinity Transportation’s 1st Annual Baseball Outing

Tuesday, June 5th, 2018

Here at Trinity, we wanted to show employees a fun time and start summer off right – what better way to do that than take everyone to a Detroit Tigers baseball game?! We were excited to provide employees with a ticket to the game, food voucher, and custom designed t-shirt. Of course, being a transportation company, we also provided transportation for those who wanted it!

The day started with buses arriving at the park 40 minutes before game time, giving employees a chance to walk around, get food, or visit the team store. The weather was perfect for a baseball game! While the Tigers were off to a semi-rough start, they came back strong and won the game 7-4 against the Toronto Blue Jays.

See what some of our employees had to say about the outing!

Sherrie Presley, school bus driver, said, “I loved the fact that we got to bring a family member and the reuniting of people I’ve worked with over the years. It was an overall amazing day and I felt very appreciated as an employee!”

Renee Holmes, school bus aide, enjoyed her time at the game: “I always go to Comerica Park and I had so much fun at this game!”

Jessica Schwartz, dispatcher, went with her daughter and they had a ball! She said, “The game was lots of fun! We didn’t ride the bus down, but we enjoyed ourselves. The game itself was nice, the weather was nice, and we all had a good time!”

We loved our time together on June 2nd; it was a great game and an all-around fun day! We can’t wait for our next company outing!

Trinity Transportation Welcomes New COO

Wednesday, February 7th, 2018

Trinity Transportation has had some exciting changes over the past year and is continuing to grow. With the new tools and services available to us via our parent company, National Express, we are ready to make 2018 the best year yet. Last year, our former Chief Operating Officer, Austin Arksey, was promoted by National Express as their new Vice President of Charter for North America. Since his promotion, Austin’s former position as Trinity’s COO has been unoccupied, but today, we are pleased to announce it has been filled!

We are thrilled to announce that David Holls has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer at Trinity Transportation. David has been with Trinity since 2009, most recently in the position of Regional Operations Manager. Previously, he was the terminal manager of our Roseville and Hamtramck locations, and held several other roles before that. As Chief Operating Officer, David will be in charge of all Trinity operations and will direct the development and execution of service for our three divisions: motor coach, school bus, and sedan and shuttle.

President Jerry Sheppard further describes David’s new role: “David will also be responsible for ensuring Trinity meets all initiatives, directives and business goals of our parent company, National Express.  He has led many of our transition activities over the last year and worked closely with National Express management in order to best prepare us to move forward and have another record-breaking year.”

We are elated with the great changes happening at Trinity and can’t wait to see what 2018 holds!
