What Is the Cedar Point Line Run?

Thursday, May 10th, 2018

It’s almost summertime and the Cedar Point season is upon us! The park is open and our motor coach is waiting for you! We offer trips to Cedar Point on our Cedar Point Line Run every year during the park’s open season…but what exactly is the Cedar Point Line Run? We’re here to explain it to you and how to book your tickets for round trip transportation and park admission. Easy peasy!

What is the Line Run?

Our Cedar Point Line Run offers round trip transportation to Cedar Point in one of our luxury motor coaches and park admission for around the same price as gate ticket prices! We have two options available for purchase: round trip transportation with park admission for $82 or round trip transportation only for $42. Our motor coach will pick you up at one of our pick-up locations, take you to the park where you’ll arrive by 10am then depart the park at 9:30pm for the regular season and arrive by 11am then depart at 10:30pm for HalloWeekends. Trips on our Cedar Point Line Run for this year start July 6th and go to the park every Saturday. A full day of fun – and you don’t even have to worry about driving!

How to Reserve Your Spot on the Cedar Point Line Run

  1. Visit the Cedar Point Line Run page on our website. This website lays out all of the information on our Cedar Point Line Run, including pick-up locations, motor coach specs, and guidelines.
  2. Determine the type of reservation you want. You can choose to purchase round trip transportation with park admission for $82 or round trip transportation only for $42. All guests in your group do not need to purchase the same tickets!
  3. Choose your date and pick-up location. With trips running every week and three Metro Detroit pick-up locations, you’re bound to find a trip that works for you! Take a peek at your calendar and choose a date that fits your schedule, then select a pick-up location that works best for you.
  4. Call us to reserve your spot. We’re here to take your Cedar Point Line Run reservations Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Call us at 888-995-8565 and we will happily assist you! Please have your credit/debit card ready for payment. When calling, we will ask for the following information: the name on your credit/debit card, billing address, phone number, email address, names of everyone attending, what type of reservation you will be purchasing for each guest, date of trip, pick-up location, and your credit/debit card information. Please have these items ready to go when you call!
  5. Mark your calendar. After you call to reserve your spot, you are all set! You will receive an email confirming the details of your order shortly after the call is complete. Once we have your information, we will put you and your guests on the manifest. On the day of your trip, our motor coach will pick you up at the pick-up location you selected. Please bring your driver’s license or other form of identification so you can check in with the driver. Upon boarding the bus, the driver will check your name off on the manifest and hand you your park tickets (if you purchased the $82 option). After that, it’s off to the park you go!

We hope you’re as excited as we are for the fun summer ahead at Cedar Point! Don’t forget to also book your trip for the spooktacular HalloWeekends!

Let’s Talk Safety!

Tuesday, May 1st, 2018

It’s that time where our operations and safety teams host our monthly safety meetings! Our April meetings took place the week of the 23rd and were full of pertinent information. Dave Holls, chief operating officer, and Carl Ingram, Detroit area safety director, led the meetings, covering various topics from “getting back to basics” to child checks – and even informing employees of a wage increase!

The meeting started with a brief introduction from Dave Holls then segued into local terminal updates from each terminal’s general manager and maintenance updates from each terminal’s lead mechanic. Dave then talked about core responsibilities: on-time transportation and excellent customer service – things we prioritize at Trinity. The terminals received a little pep talk from Kid President to help encourage arriving to work with a positive attitude and the right mindset (it’s super cute – you can watch it here)!

Distracted driving was a main topic, reiterating how important it is to keep the kids of our community safe while on the road. One of our programs is called Driving Out Harm, which encourages staff to make sure their workplace is safe and to put the safety of customers and colleagues first at all times. The Golden Rules for our drivers are: “I will always put the safety of passengers first; be fit for work; check my vehicles and only drive if it is safe; drive safely and defensively; and report all accidents, injuries, and near misses”.

Child Checks were also an important topic covered. At Trinity, we have a policy in place that requires school bus drivers and aides to do child checks after the last stop of each route or field trip and upon returning to their terminal. Child Checks ensure that no child is left on the bus and each child gets home safely. Our entire school bus staff has signed the Child Check Pledge!

Here at Trinity, we are committed to keeping our kids, roads, and community safe, and our monthly safety meetings are a vital part in doing so!

  1. Determine what type of transportation you need for your wedding. Do you only need transportation for the bridal party or will you be transporting guests? If you’re transporting guests, will it be from ceremony to reception or a shuttle from reception to hotel? 4. Converse with a reservations specialist. After requesting a quote online, one of our reservations specialists will contact you to discuss your wedding transportation in more detail. They will assist you in determining which vehicle is best for your special day and will discuss availability and pricing.
  5. Finalize your wedding transportation. Once you have found the perfect vehicle for your wedding day and chat with our reservations specialist, you can finalize the booking of your transportation! We will secure the requested transportation for the date and time(s) needed, and you will receive an email confirmation.

We want you to feel relaxed and worry-free when it comes to transportation on your wedding day. Our goal is to allow you to fully enjoy your special day with the ones you love!

Trinity Transportation Participates in Gleaners’ Annual Food Fight!

Friday, April 20th, 2018

Gleaners Community Food Bank works hard every day to provide meals to families in need in Southeast Michigan. The holidays are a popular time for food donations, but the contributions tend to slow down in the spring. To help combat the decrease in donations, Gleaners hosts their Food Fight every year, where companies and organizations participate in a friendly competition to raise the most meals through food and monetary donations.

This year, Trinity participated in the Food Fight with 31 other organizations and companies to help ensure families don’t have to go without a meal this spring. We raised 500 pounds of food, which equals out to 415 meals!

Every season can be the season of giving – those in need in our community need food year round, and food banks like Gleaners are always accepting donations. We are proud to have helped in their efforts to feed our community!

Training Day!

On Thursday April 5th, during Spring Break week, we held a full day training in-service for 30 of our operational staff (dispatchers and general managers) from all of our locations.  With many transitional activities taking place – and to ensure everyone was best prepared for the busy spring season ahead – Trinity brought everyone together for one last training and development session for the school year.

After the training, management took everyone to downtown Detroit for a fun evening of team building activities, which including going to “Escape the Room” (an escape room where you have 60 minutes for your team to decipher clues and get out), and then out to a fabulous dinner afterwards.

We had a great day filled with knowledge and development that ended in fun! Our dispatchers and general managers are ready to serve you, our customers, with their best foot forward!
