Trinity Transportation Coronavirus/COVID-19 Response

Thursday, March 12th, 2020

As a trusted business partner and transportation provider in Southeast Michigan and Northern Ohio, we want to assure our customers that we have taken proactive measures to combat COVID-19 as it relates to our operations in the workplace. Since this is a developing situation, a cross-functional team has been put together to monitor the outbreak of the virus and direct our response.

We are closely monitoring the United States Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization websites and following the best practices put in place by both organizations. Currently, we are doing the below:

  • Using a mixture of bleach and water to spray onto surfaces to kill germs and help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses.
  • Every day, we are cleaning and disinfecting our vehicles by using an amply based water and bleach (spray-based) solution while wearing protective gear.
  • We have also reminded our employees to adhere to the CDC guidelines on COVID-19 to reduce transmission of germs and shared posters from the CDC website with them to print and post in our sites.

If any of our employees become affected by COVID-19, we have a process in place and will notify any customers affected.

When it comes to the safety and well-being of our team members and passengers, we will work tirelessly to ensure that we are doing everything we can to manage this current situation.

Safety First!

Tuesday, January 9th, 2018

At Trinity Transportation we pride ourselves in making safety our number one priority. Safety is the most important thing to be focused on and practiced when operating a vehicle. In order to ensure our drivers are taking the necessary precautions before, during, and after operating their vehicles, we have monthly safety meetings at each of our terminals.

In December, Trinity’s operations and safety departments put on their monthly safety meeting with the help of Safety Claus! Regional Operations Manager Dave Holls dressed up as Safety Claus to add a fun touch to learning about safety.

The meeting was required for all school bus employees and was headed by Safety Director Carl Ingram and School Bus Training Manager Derrick Ingram. They discussed the different tactics of staying safe on the road while driving a school bus (and being an aide!). Many topics were covered, including proper safety procedures, distracted driving, and having heightened awareness while on the road. There were even some fun quizzes thrown in the presentation!

Our employees are prepared to work together and practice all safety procedures learned in order to reach our goal of becoming the safest transportation company!
