Trinity is looking to hire extra drivers just for these days to help work this event. If you are a current non-Trinity school bus driver with a CDL B (P and S endorsements included) and would be interested in picking up some extra summer work, this opportunity would be perfect for you! Trinity Transportation Donates 9 Laptops to Graduating Seniors

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2015
Sales Director Austin Arksey speaking about education

Trinity Transportation’s Sales Director, Austin Arksey, speaking about the importance of education.

Last night, River Rouge School District hosted a “Student of the Month” event where they recognized students from elementary, middle, and high school for their academic excellence. Trinity Transportation was in attendance and donated 9 laptops to the seniors that were there. The event was held at Crystal Gardens in Southgate, Michigan, and dinner was provided for the students and their parents.

The program consisted of River Rouge administrators thanking their corporate partners, parents, and exceptional staff for all of the hard work over the past school year. Then, the principal from each River Rouge school stepped up to the podium to acknowledge the students from their respective schools.

The last principal to praise his students was Principal Michael Mokdad from River Rouge High School. He went through his list of freshman, sophomores, and juniors, saving the seniors for the end. Little did the seniors know, they were not just receiving praise for their academic excellence.

Before Principal Mokdad called their names, Austin Arksey, the Director of Sales for Trinity Transportation stepped up to the mic. Austin gave the graduating seniors advice on how to succeed in college and why it’s important to focus “not on what you do, but how you go about doing it.

“Students are the future of our society,” said Arksey. “It’s important for parents, teachers, and mentors to help pave the way for young people to become successful leaders of tomorrow.”

He then announced that Trinity Transportation would be donating 9 laptops to the graduating seniors, who were attending universities such as Western Michigan University, Michigan State University, and University of Michigan-Dearborn. Austin told them that he cannot wait to see each of them grow and continue to exude excellence in whatever they do in life.

Trinity Transportation has worked closely with River Rouge Schools to provide them safe and reliable transportation. We are a proud community partner for River Rouge Schools and continue to invest in the children of our community.

Trinity Transportation’s "Employee of the Week" Program

Monday, May 11th, 2015

Each week, employees at each Trinity terminal are nominated to be the “Employee of the Week.” The employee nominated is chosen by a superior based on their actions that put them above and beyond for the week. This could be providing exceptional service to a customer or jumping in to help one of their fellow employees! Please take a moment to recognize these men and women for their positive attitudes and determination at Trinity Transportation.

Cedar Point – The All Access Pass to the Amusement Park

Wednesday, May 6th, 2015

If you haven’t tossed your jacket into the bottom of your closet, it’s about time you do. The season for warm weather is among us and even though we must deal with the fluctuation of Michigan Cedar Pointweather, outdoor activities are a must!

One of the hottest attractions during the spring and summer time is Cedar Point. Whether you are going on a family trip or a group excursion, Cedar Point is a great opportunity for people to spend the day outdoors in the warm weather. Don’t like roller coasters? No problem. Aside from roller coasters you have Soak City (water park located in Cedar Point), tons of live entertainment such as bands and performances, and Cedar Point’s private beach.

What’s new at Cedar Point in 2015?Rougarou

    • Rougarou: Out with the old and in with the new! Last year Cedar Point retired the Mantis and this year is introducing a new ride called Rougarou, the first floorless ride.
    • Hotel Breakers: This year Cedar Point’s infamous hotel will complete its two year renovation project. Guests will enjoy new restaurant options such as the Surf Lounge bar and a Starbucks. Included will be a new entrance, exciting new room decorations, and many other amenities!
    • Lakeside Pavilion: For groups visiting Cedar Point with 50 or more people, this option will definitely be a good fit. The Lakeside Pavilion will now have a more open entrance near Planet Snoopy and will be a great meeting option for large groups (for lunch or other gatherings).

Check out CedarPoint.com for other options and updates. Cedar Point’s opening day this year is on Saturday, May 9th.

And remember to check Trinity Transportation’s Cedar Point Charter for only $79. This includes a Cedar Point ticket and transportation to and from the park.
