Angel Collins
Senior Reservations Specialist

Greetings Everyone,

For those who don’t know me, I’m Angel, the Senior Reservations Specialist at Trinity Transportation. I would like to start off by saying THANK YOU to everyone for doing such an amazing job this winter. I know it is really hard waking up early in this very cold weather and coming into work, especially if you are going out to drive all day.

Now we have to look forward to our crazy spring season! It  will be much nicer weather but it will call for much more demanding work.

There will be times where we might have to lend a hand to another part of the Trinity team to make sure that the job is done correctly and efficiently. But that is what makes Trinity a family. We help each other out when needed to ensure our customers receive the best possible experience!

Last spring we had some amazing drivers go above and beyond to help out the new drivers and anyone else in need. I am hopeful that we can get that same type of attitude from everyone this spring.

Again thank you everyone for all that you had to endure through the rough winter. Spring here we come! Go Team Trinity!

3 Wedding Day Transportation Tips I Followed That Made My Wedding Day Perfect

Tuesday, February 17th, 2015

The Dress. The Flowers. The Food. The Hair.

There seems to be a never ending list of to-do’s for your wedding with very limited time. Aside from those mentioned above, one thing that can make or break your big day is the transportation for you and your guests.

Whether you have a small or large group at your wedding, worrying about transporting people in a timely fashion from destination to destination can be frightening. The Knot, a site dedicated to giving you the best wedding advice and options, offers a pretty comprehensive guide when it comes to a game plan for your special day’s trips.

I spoke to our Reservation’s Specialist, Stephanie, who books hundreds of weddings a year and here were her 3 tips on how to make wedding transportation stress free for the Bride:

Preschedule Shuttle Departures: So you are having your wedding guests shuttled from Point A to the Church, and then to your reception venue? Planning out each and every stop your shuttle bus or motorcoach bus will make can help organize your day and will ensure each pick-up and drop-off to be on time. We all know pictures are key on a Wedding Day, so be sure to include 20-30 minutes extra at each location for your photographer. You can also save money by properly booking the right size of transportation. For example, if you have 50 guests being shuttled from a hotel to a Wedding Hall that are in close proximity, you might be able to book a 25 passenger Mini Coach that runs 2 trips rather than a full size coach.

Designate an On-site Contact: It’s your Wedding Day. You need to be thinking about starting a new life with the one you love, not transporting your guests around. Find someone else to do it! You most likely want to pick someone you trust will be able to handle a bit of stress but also keep things moving, such as a sibling, parent or close friend. This person can not only assist the wedding guests with riding around in the shuttles, but they can be a huge help to the motorcoach driver as the one person they take orders from.

Choose the service that’s right for you: Weddings can include 10 guests or 200 guests. Sometimes changes will have to be made last minute to your transportation booking, such as needing a bigger vehicle or increasing the amount of time you need the services for. Choose a reputable company that will be extremely flexible and will go the extra mile to take the stress off of you when it comes to booking and last minute changes.

Trinity Transportation not only offers full size and mini coaches, but we also offer shuttle vans and a limo bus for weddings. Within the last few years, the amount of weddings that we’ve serviced has grown exponentially. We have drivers who are very experienced in helping to create a memorable day for everyone involved.

The Paper Route – Importance of Employee Referrals

Thursday, February 5th, 2015

Austin Arksey
Sales Director

At the age of 12, every afternoon when I got off the bus and 5 A.M. on the weekends, I was reminded of my two mile paper route that lie ahead. I recollect back to my shiny, blue, spray painted wagon filled with rolled up news from around the world.

I quickly learned the value of being on time. When I committed to the job, one of the requirements was to have the paper delivered by 5 P.M. on the weekdays and 8 A.M. on the weekends. If it was raining, the paper had to be delivered on time. If I had to trek through 8 inches of snow, the paper had to be delivered on time. If it was freezing cold or sweltering with heat outside, you guessed it, the paper still had to be delivered on time.

I followed three simple rules when I did my route. Arrive on time, treat people the way you want to be treated, and deliver a quality product. As I did these three simple things I found that my paper route began to grow and eventually doubled.

Now keep in mind, I wasn’t spending any dollar amount on advertising. I didn’t beg people to join and I wasn’t giving the paper away for free. I relied strictly on referrals and word of mouth. I knew that if I followed those three simple things my route would continue to grow eventually resulting in more money in my pocket.

What I learned from that paper route can be translated into our careers today. Arrive on time to the pickup, treat students, teachers and parents the way we want to be treated, and drive safely. If we follow these steps we can easily continue to grow our customer base which will result in a need for more drivers.

Referrals are a great way to get qualified people in front of our hiring team and more money in your pocket. Our team at Trinity has recently started a generous referral bonus. For every experienced school bus or motor coach driver you refer you receive $250 once they reach their 90 day anniversary. There is no limit to the amount of people you can refer and it’s a great way to make extra money.

Whether you’re delivering papers or transporting people, make sure to take advantage of the referral bonus!
